Frequently asked questions
How long does a renovation take?
It depends on the size and the amount of work. Before we start we draw up a phase plan with dates and work to it. A bathroom is usually ready in two to three weeks; a whole flat in one to two months.
How is the quote prepared?
First we talk about what you need and look at the space, in person or by video call. Then we propose solutions and fix the price. That price doesn't change during the works unless the scope changes.
Can I live at home during the works?
If we're renovating the whole property, it's best to move out temporarily. If we're only working on some rooms, we organise the work so it doesn't get in the way of your daily life.
What materials do you recommend?
The ones that last, not the ones that are fashionable. We choose them for your style, your budget and how the space is used, and we buy them at trade prices with no added margin.
How do you control quality?
We work in phases. After each phase we check levels, fixings and junctions, and only then move on. That's how we avoid «we'll fix it later».
Can I make changes during the works?
Yes, as long as they don't affect phases already completed. Small adjustments are agreed on the spot in the site chat, so they don't affect the deadline or the price.
Do you handle the licences?
Yes. Our architect prepares the project and applies for the building licence and, for commercial premises, the activity licence with the town hall. You don't have to queue at any counter.
Do you work with companies and under contract?
Always. We sign a contract with private clients and companies, and every payment comes with an official invoice.
When can you start?
Usually within 7 days. Several crews work in parallel, so your project doesn't wait for someone else's to finish.
What guarantee do you give?
The legal guarantee set out in Spanish law. We are registered in the Register of Accredited Construction Companies (REA no. 17/46/0053242) and are liable for our work. We also carry public liability insurance.
Which VAT rate applies?
New residential construction, the full renovation of a home and other cases set out by law qualify for the reduced 10 % VAT instead of 21 %. We check whether your project meets the requirements and, if it does, we apply it: you'll see it itemised in the quote.
